Sounds like the beast wants to show off the power from the new CAI. I have never heard of that, but i'm no Auto elec.

I hope someone can shed some light on that for you. ESP has lots of sensors apparently and is very sensitive. I started a thread on here on it as was puzzled as to the cause. No matter what I did I couldn't get it to come back on.

Left the car parked for a few hours and all was fine again. The consensus was that the water had splashed up and maybe wet the filter affecting one of the many sensors tied in with ESP and when it dried out again all was fine. Just make sure everything was connected up again properly after the CAI was installed.

Did u try an ECU reset? Does look good, but the "cold" in cold air intake is considerably reduced. Might have some epa issues if you get pulled over too If you also have fitted extactors where you need to remove the steering shaft from the rackit will log a steering corrolation code that turns off ESP.

Put the car into engineering mode and tell me what the IAT reads. Hold in scroll button and turn ingnition to on 2.

Scroll down until you find IAT it should read ambient if it reads ambient you just need to get your codes wiped, if it doesnt read ambient then you have wring issues.I thought no problems, lots of short trips could have done this. Regulated voltage increase was the reason for the program, as VE's were getting flat batteries at the old setting. You will lose old settings from this. The reason your economy seems poor now is because it has only calculated it from the reset time, whereas the previous average would be from a more accurate longer interval.

They may be referring to what it actually sounds like. The sound the car makes is actually more of a chime than a beep. Because my old VN idles like crap. Also someone tells me that instead of letting the car idle for 5 mins that you should put the lights on, put the air con on and drive the car very very hard so the car re-learns? He says dont be scared if the car dies out when slowing down for the first time or if the brake fails the first time??? This is all correct, except you must also be totally naked and beep your horn every 10 seconds :rolleyes:.

The sound the car makes is actually more of a chime than a beep You may remember a thread I started with mine losing power in the heat still unresolved and I saw this thread so I did a reset last night 3 chimes is the order of the day on a VX I'm going to do this today, couldnt yesterday.

But when start car holding mode and up in, I flick through the options and it says F Street Tuna says that resetting the PCM gives no performance gains. It might not give a performance gain over the original specs, but mate, I can bet my life it has improved the performance of how my car was 'currently' running.

Improved performance beyond its original performance? Improved it's performance compared to how it was running?
